I, like most people, have abandoned my usual beauty routine for a quicker and simpler one. I'm sharing with you the 4 products that I use to stay put together during these quarantined times. These are definitely a must-buy for post quarantine too.
1. Deodorant - Lady Speed Stick: Invisible Dry
First up, is a deodorant - and this is one I’ve sworn by for almost my entire college life. I am talking about the Lady Speed Stick that you can get at any drugstore in the US. I knew this deodorant was the one for me when I put it to test by using it in the Indian summers, and I remained sweat free. Do I need to say more? This product will easily last for an entire year and the purple packaging makes it difficult to miss on the store shelves.
2. Caudalie - Beauty Elixir
Moving from the body to the face - I will not be listing my moisturizer, toner, etc in this post; watch out for a separate post for my entire skincare routine - the next product I love is the Caudalie beauty elixir. I first saw it in Vogue’s video starring Kourtney Kardashian. I was immediately sold. I usually would use it to refresh my makeup, but lately, it’s been a great pick-me up during the day. It has a slight fragrance and tingles my skin a little - a sign that I like to think that means that the product is working.
3. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Medium Brown
Now, let’s talk make up. I definitely don’t do my everyday makeup routine, but I do use a eyebrow pencil (Anastasia Beverly Hills) and lip crayon (Maybelline Intense Crayon) for video calls in which you want to look presentable. Like every other beauty guru online or that makeup-obsessed friend in your friend group says, filling in your eyebrows can really change your look. I’m a fan of a naturally-perfect brow, so I use light strokes only adding hairs where they are missing. I use medium brown as I have black hair and it sits well with my skin tone.
4. Maybelline - Color Show Intense Crayon in Mystic Mauve
My newest obsession is a lip crayon - from the ones I’ve tried, the Maybelline one really stands out. The formula sits comfortable on my lips, not drying them out at all and the pigment is so strong. The color choices are limited, but you can build up or tone down the color as you like. My personal favs are the mystic mauve and intense red.
I hope you consider putting these products in your cart for your after-quarantine life. Do leave me a comment if you enjoyed this post, and let me know what other things you’d like to read about!
